Job Description

At Aberdeen, our ambition is to be the UK’s leading Wealth & Investments group.

Strengthening talent and culture is one of our strategic priorities. We strive to make Aberdeen a great place to work so that we can attract and retain the industry’s best talent.

Our people put our stakeholders at the heart of everything they do by helping us to make a positive difference to the lives of our clients, customers, colleagues, shareholders, and society.

We are focused on growing our direct and advised wealth platforms and repositioning our specialist asset management business to meet client demand. We are committed to providing excellent client service, supported by leading technology and talent.

Aberdeen comprises three businesses, interactive investor (ii), Investments, and Adviser, each of which focuses on meeting and adapting to our clients’ evolving needs:

* interactive investor, the UK’s second largest direct-to-consumer investment platform, enables individuals in the UK to plan, save, and invest in the way that works for them.
* Our Adviser business provides financial planning solutions and technology for UK financial advisers, enabling them to create value for their customers.
* Our Investments business is a specialist asset manager that focuses on areas where we have both strength and scale to capitalise on the key themes shaping the market, through either public markets or alternative asset classes.

About the Department

We’re committed to a product operating model where teams are empowered, autonomous, and accountable, giving you the freedom to innovate and own solutions from concept to delivery.

Join a forward-thinking team at the heart of Aberdeen’s Adviser business, where we lead the end-to-end design, discovery, and delivery of cutting-edge digital products and services for Financial Advice firms.

If you’re passionate about delivering real impact, our focus on customer and business outcomes will give you the opportunity to make a tangible difference.

You’ll be part of a team that values collaboration, autonomy, and a growth mindset, helping us stay at the forefront of the market as we design digital experiences that supercharge advice firms to delight their clients.

About the Role

As a Lead Product Analyst, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping how we discover, define, and deliver value across our digital products for Financial Advice firms. You’ll bring deep experience in product thinking, systems analysis, and user-centred design to lead discovery efforts, define high-quality requirements, and influence product direction.

You’ll collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, Engineers, and stakeholders to ensure our digital products deliver meaningful outcomes. You’ll also mentor analysts, embed best practices, and drive a culture of continuous discovery and evidence-based decision-making. Your leadership will help ensure our product analysis is aligned with strategic goals and delivers real impact for advisers and their clients.

Key Responsibilities

* Define and uphold best practices for product analysis, including requirements gathering, discovery, and backlog management.
* Shape product strategy by framing complex problems and aligning analysis with long-term business goals.
* Lead opportunity framing and solution evaluation, using insights and data to influence product direction.
* Champion data-informed decision-making through experimentation, A/B testing, and insight generation.
* Mentor and coach Product and Senior Analysts, supporting their growth and development.
* Collaborate with Product Managers to align backlog with product strategy and delivery cadence.
* Act as a strategic partner to Product, Engineering, and Design leadership, aligning analysis with cross-domain initiatives.
* Champion user-centric thinking, embedding customer impact into product decisions.
* Drive readiness for release, including stakeholder communication, compliance alignment, and enablement activities.
* Shape narratives and insights at the leadership level, contributing to strategic planning and product storytelling.
* Champion a culture of continuous learning, curiosity, and evidence-based thinking across the product organization.

About the Candidate

* Proven experience in product analysis within agile, product-led environments.
* Strong systems thinking and problem-solving skills.
* Skilled in defining features, slicing epics, and crafting high-quality user stories.
* Comfortable leading ideation workshops and mapping journeys.
* Experience mentoring analysts and shaping analysis practices.
* Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
* Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, FigJam, and data analysis platforms.
* Deep understanding of adviser and investor needs.
* Proactive, resilient, and able to drive momentum.
* Committed to continuous learning and fostering a growth mindset.
