We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading groundworks and civil engineering contractor operating across Yorkshire.Our client delivers high-quality, cost-effective solutions across residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects. With a strong regional reputation built on precision, reliability, and customer satisfaction, they have a solid pipeline of secured work and require an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor to support ongoing schemes.The Role
* Commercial management of groundworks and civils packages
* Subcontract procurement and management
* Applications for payment and valuations
* Cost value reconciliation (CVR) and forecasting
* Variations and change management
* Supporting project delivery teams to ensure commercial control
* Assisting with final accounts
Requirements
* Proven experience as a QS within groundworks or civil engineering
* Strong understanding of residential and/or commercial developments
* Good contractual knowledge (JCT / NEC beneficial)
* Strong negotiation and communication skills
* Able to work independently and hit the ground running
