Self Employed Sessional GP, Out of Hours (Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin)
Further to recent organisational growth, we have an exciting opportunity for Self-Employed General Practitioners to join our forward-thinking team in Shropshire.
Whether you are looking to supplement your existing commitments or prefer the structure of evening, overnight, or weekend work, we are able to offer a range of shift patterns to suit your availability.
Main duties of the job
As an independent, autonomous clinician working to support our mission to deliver high-quality, patient-centred services, you will work as part of our multidisciplinary team to deliver safe and timely care to those accessing our services, providing a variety of shift opportunities including:
* Face-to-face shifts based at one of our Primary Care Centres across the Shropshire locality.
* Mobile shifts undertaking home visits to patients who are unable to travel to a primary care centre, supported with a fully equipped medical car.
* Triage shifts based at our regional Head Office.

We are offering an exciting opportunity for Self-Employed General Practitioners to join our innovative team in Shropshire.

About the role
As an independent, autonomous clinician supporting our mission to deliver high-quality, patient-centred services, you will work as part of our multidisciplinary team to provide safe and timely care. Your responsibilities will include:
* Providing clinical assessment, diagnosis (where possible), and treatment (where appropriate) for adult and paediatric patients at our Primary Care Centres or during remote consultations.
* Accurately triaging and prioritising all patients, using various techniques to elicit the history of an event or illness, including past medical and drug history.
* Undertaking home visits for patients unable to travel, supported by a fully equipped medical car and driver.
* Referring patients to alternative care settings when appropriate.
* Supporting our Care Coordination Service.
* Triaging calls received via the NHS111 pathway during core daytime hours.
Please note that remote support from a senior clinician is always available during your shift.
About you:
* Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
* Inclusion on the NHS England Medical Performers List.
* Up-to-date indemnity cover suitable for out-of-hours work.
* Experience in urgent or unscheduled care settings (preferred).
* Proficiency with Adastra (preferred).
* A calm, methodical approach to clinical decision-making.
* The ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
* A commitment to maintaining high standards of clinical governance and patient care.

Rate: £70 to £95 per hour, depending on shift time and day.
