About the Role
To be employed in this role, you must pass an enhanced safeguarding check.
Our stores operate 24/7, offering a variety of shift patterns. Flexibility is key, including weekend work, which is a requirement of the role. We will work with you to accommodate your shifts.
Our in-store pharmacies are popular with customers, who expect friendly, confident service when discussing personal health issues, resolving problems, and guiding them to the right products.
You will spend time accurately assembling and processing prescriptions, promoting our pharmacy services (e.g., Prescription Collection Service, Medicines Use Reviews), and supporting the Pharmacist with patient services such as blood pressure checks and smoking cessation schemes. You will adhere to Standard Operating Procedures to ensure quality and compliance. Additionally, you'll collect prescriptions from doctors' surgeries on behalf of customers.
We will support your development through an accredited course to become a qualified Medicine Counter Assistant within 6 months, followed by training as a Dispensing Assistant to advance your pharmacy career.
About You
You are friendly, organized, and eager to work with your team to achieve results. You have good computer skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. You enjoy problem-solving, helping people, and providing a great healthcare experience by assisting customers in finding what they need and engaging in friendly conversations.
