Electrical Maintenance Engineer - Birmingham
Up to £40,000 plus a £2,500 bonus upon becoming an Electrical Approved Person (AP).
Working hours: Monday to Friday, on a single site in central Birmingham, with the following weekly schedule:
1. Week 1: 7AM - 3PM
2. Week 2: 1PM - 10PM
3. Week 3: 8AM - 5PM
Additionally, there is a 1 in 6 call-out rota with a standby payment of £1,350 per annum, and £4 hours paid if called out. Call-outs cover the local region beyond the site.
We offer excellent training and a modern, recently refurbished building with new equipment.
As part of our Maintenance team, you'll perform planned and reactive electrical maintenance across the site, including Low and High Voltage systems, standby generators, UPS systems, batteries, earthing, lighting protection, emergency lighting, and security lighting.
Some mechanical maintenance and fabric jobs are also included, with tasks assigned via a tablet system, allowing autonomous work management.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing electrical PPM, reactive works, and customer expectations.
* Maintaining other building services such as fabric, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
* Responding to call-outs as per the rota.
* Monitoring contractors and issuing Permits to Work.
* Ensuring equipment performance and proper servicing.
* Maintaining accurate administration and records.
Requirements:
* Electrical qualifications and relevant experience in installation or maintenance.
