With a nose for a good story, passion for great content, and a flair for making connections, you will take the lead on St Margaret’s storytelling, portraying the experiences of our patients, as well as their families, friends, and caregivers. As the go-to communications specialist, you’ll have experience in planning and executing a wide range of communication activities both internally and externally, so if you're a strong communicator with a keen eye for detail and a talent for turning words into engaging stories, we want you to be part of our team. You will join us in a full-time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £29,400 per annum. This role can be based in either our Taunton or Yeovil office bases. Your day-to-day work will involve: Helping to raise St Margaret’s profile, shaping our brand and voice as Somerset’s expert in end-of-life care Writing, editing and proof-reading copy for internal and external communication channels, such as the public website, newsletters, and corporate messaging. Uncovering and capturing the stories of staff, volunteers, patients and their families. Creating compelling content that motivates others and demonstrates the impact of the hospice’s work. Handling media enquiries, building relationships with local journalists, and staying up to date on relevant news stories that may impact the hospice. Giving advice and guidance to colleagues, providing creative solutions to help meet their comms needs.
