Principal Town Planning Policy Officer Southeast £50-60 per hour - Dependant on experience Job Ref - 66809 Carrington West are assisting their local authority client based in the Southeast in their search for a very experienced Town Planner to assist the Planning Policy Department. Person spec: ·Experience in planning policy in local authority ·Experience of site assessment as part of Land Availability Assessment (LAA) ·Knowledge of the new plan-making system and draft National Planning Policy Framework ·Experience in writing briefs and undertaking procurement within local authority setting ·Preferrable - knowledge of Sustainability Appraisal/ Strategic Environmental Assessment for Local Plans ·Experience of working on evidence and baseline requirements supporting local plan preparation ·Skills - ability to work independently with minimal supervision, good IT skills and understanding of GIS, good attention to detail and time management.
