Border Vets are looking for an ambitious, knowledgeable Farm Animal Veterinary Surgeon to work with the local farming community.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, forward thinking, self-driven vet with a strong desire to deliver preventative health care services to our clients. This role can also be adapted to suit mixed work.
Fix or flex – work life balance that works for you
Our vets usually work 40 hours per week across 4/5 days, with 1:4 weekends working on call at home from 7pm on Friday and in surgery from 8:30am to 1pm on Saturday, then on-call supported by a nurse for the remainder of the weekend. The role also includes 1 night per week on call. However, our flexible approach to rota patterns and working hours truly tips the scale on your work life balance. We know that everyone has demands and priorities outside of their career and we want to make it brilliantly easy for you to strike the right balance. OC rota- Full time will have a day off in the week or part time will receive a OC supplement.
The salary for this role is up to £65,000 depending on experience + Up to £3,000 relocation allowance.
Our practice is located on the outskirts of the beautiful Lake District, Hadrian’s wall and borderlands, there is ample opportunity to enjoy our beautiful surroundings.
This role will play a vital part in driving our farm business forward whilst we go from strength to strength for our local farming community. Our main requirements are enthusiasm and desire to be part of a caring, fun, and dedicated team who are always aiming to give a great client experience and high-quality care to our patients.
At Border we have 3 vets, clinical director, 1 RVN, 1 animal care assistant, farm services manager, practice manager and highly skilled receptionists.
