About The Role
As a Trainee Nursing Assistant at HC-One, you will be a role model, leading by example to embody the quality of supreme kindness in every aspect of your work in our Memory Care, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. You will ensure residents’ care planning arrangements are delivered impeccably and provide a sense of choice and independence. Whether you’re undertaking a delegated nursing task, reporting an accident, or spending time with a resident demonstrating symptoms of dementia, resident wellbeing will always be your priority above all else.
About You
We are looking for Senior Care Assistants who are eager to develop their skills and advance into a Nursing Assistant role. This opportunity includes a comprehensive development programme that will upskill and train you to undertake more responsibility and achieve the necessary qualifications.
What You Will Do
* Assist with tasks such as administering medicines, caring for wounds, catheter care and other direct clinical tasks under the supervision of a qualified nurse.
* Report accidents and any incidents promptly.
* Support residents in maintaining independence and choice.
Qualifications & Experience
* Level 3 Diploma S/NVQ in Adult Care (or working towards).
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in Health & Social Care as a Senior Carer or in a similar position with leadership responsibilities around administering medicines and leading a shift.
* Knowledge and understanding of the person‑led care planning process and relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.
Safeguarding
You will be required to recognise signs of possible abuse, harm or neglect and attend safeguarding training appropriate to your role. You must be able to seek appropriate advice, report concerns and undertake escalation if action is not taken.
