Vehicle Technician / Junior Mechanic – 1–2 Years' Experience

This role is ideal for someone in the early stages of their technician career, particularly if you're currently working in a fast-fit, tyre, or servicing environment and want to develop your skills and progress into larger mechanical and diagnostic work.

We are a well-established, independent, family-run garage in Sevenoaks, proudly serving the local community for over 20 years. During that time we've built a strong reputation for honest advice, quality workmanship, and reliable customer service.
Our workshop is busy year-round and includes a dedicated MOT testing bay, meaning there is a constant flow of vehicles through the workshop. We work on a wide variety of makes and models, from everyday cars to 4x4s and vans, giving technicians excellent exposure to different types of work.
Because of the volume and variety of jobs we see each week, this is an excellent environment for a junior technician to learn quickly and gain experience across servicing, MOT preparation, diagnostics, and general mechanical repairs.

Key Duties
* Servicing and maintaining a wide range of vehicles
* Assisting with diagnostics and mechanical repairs
* Carrying out MOT preparation, inspections, and safety checks
* Supporting senior technicians with larger mechanical repairs
* Road testing vehicles after repairs
* Ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards
* Completing job cards and service records accurately
* Working closely with the workshop team
About You
* 1–2 years' experience as a Vehicle Technician or Junior Mechanic
* Ideal for technicians currently working in fast-fit, tyre, or service-only roles
* Keen to develop skills and progress as a technician
* Good understanding of vehicle servicing and basic mechanical repairs
* Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
* Reliable, motivated, and a positive team player
