Main duties of the job
We are looking for a highly motivated Data Delivery Project Manager. This post will be an exciting opportunity to be part of the team supporting the delivery of the Wessex SDE (Secure Data Environment) and the Southampton Emerging Therapies and Technologies (SETT) Centre, to scale data for research across the region and nationally.
These posts will be responsible for project managing a range of projects, both establishing data pipelines across the Wessex SDE footprint and specific large‑scale commercial and academic data projects. They will sit within the SETT Centre team and support data delivery projects for the Wessex SDE.

Job responsibilities
Work autonomously to lead and deliver projects using appropriate methodologies, including:
* Project Initiation Documents
* Stakeholder maps
* Project plans
* RAID logs
* RACI matrices
* Comms and engagement plans
* Weekly highlight reports
* Project board reports
Use a range of appropriate software tools to maintain project management (ZoHo, ClickUp, EDGE, Excel, Word). Document risk and issues as they arise, managing or escalating as appropriate. Report to senior management and boards as required.
Manage delivery of technical enablement and healthcare research projects, data marts and pipelines. Work with stakeholders across Wessex (NHS acute, community and GP data providers) and liaise with clinical, technical and senior management teams.
Liaise with SETT Data, R&D and CIRU personnel. Work across the SDE network and wider national groups (e.g., BRC, genomics networks, NHS E) for coordination and delivery of national projects. Establish and operate programme and project governance.
Person Specification
Qualifications, knowledge and experience
* Relevant Bachelor’s Degree (Tech, Business, Change) or equivalent specialist knowledge and experience
* Masters degree or equivalent specialist knowledge and experience
* Recognised Project Management qualification to practitioner level or equivalent experience
* Knowledge and practical experience of management and successful delivery of full project lifecycle (including pre‑project phases) of medium projects
* Practical experience of presenting complex and technical information to internal and external groups
* Project management skills including use of multiple methodologies such as waterfall and agile
* Recognised relevant change management qualifications such as risk, benefits, change, business analysis, or continuous improvement
* Other project and change management training courses
* Staff management training courses
* Management and delivery of full project lifecycle of medium, small and very small change projects in an Acute NHS Trust, provider NHS (non‑acute) or the NHS
* Evidence of recent further professional development

Salary: £49,387 to £56,515 a year (pro rata)
