About The Role
We are seeking a Site Hygiene Manager for our Blackpool Bakery team. You will ensure the hygienic standards of our plant are maintained to support product quality.
Main Responsibilities
* Define, implement, and maintain cleaning schedules and records across the Bakery
* Provide direction and support to the Hygiene and Operation Teams
* Collaborate with Operations and Plant Planning teams on cleaning processes
* Manage pest control activities to ensure sanitary conditions
* Support hygiene culture improvement initiatives
* Research and implement latest hygiene and pest control techniques
* Ensure compliance with legislation, customer, and certification standards
* Train employees on hygiene standards, including new staff
* Engage with hygiene suppliers and contractors for continuous improvement
* Drive continuous improvement in cleaning methods and standards
* Manage the hygiene budget within the Technical Department
Who We Are Looking For
* Proven experience in a similar Hygiene Manager role, ideally in FMCG
* IOSH qualification or working towards it
* Level 3 Food Safety qualification preferred
* Experience in maintaining high hygiene standards
* Passion for hygiene and safety
* Experience working with third-party support functions
* Ability to collaborate with HSE teams and ensure compliance
* Influential and engaging communication skills
* Proactive, results-oriented, and self-motivated
* Strong time management and multitasking skills
* Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
* Flexible hours/days as needed for the business
