The postholder will support researchers in developing high-performance, low-embedded carbon, high-recycled-content aluminium alloy extruded components for battery enclosures and crash management systems in electric and hybrid vehicles manufactured in the UK. Responsibilities include setting up experimental procedures, designing and participating in experiments, preparing samples, and reporting results. The role also involves developing skills in advanced manufacturing, characterisation, and testing facilities at the BCAST centre.
Qualifications include GCSEs in Maths and English at grade C or equivalent, with desirable experience of a technical nature. The position is funded by Innovate UK projects, ReCirAl and M-LightEn, for 3 months.
