As a vital part of SPEN, the Workforce Co-Ordinator supports and promotes the Workforce Renewal Team by managing key talent pipelines. They work closely with internal corporate teams (People, Learning, Recruitment and Early Careers) as well as various external bodies (schools, colleagues, universities, institutes and training providers) across Scotland, England & Wales to identify relevant events to promote our opportunities. What you’ll be doing Leading projects and initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to support the annual recruitment strategy. Raising internal awareness of Workforce Development programmes, initiatives, and strategy. Promoting trainee opportunities at industry events, awards, and across social media platforms, including content creation (e.g. testimonials, achievements, blogs, newsletters). Creating and maintaining an events calendar for outreach and recruitment activities in schools, colleges, universities, and other relevant organisations. Liaising with business functions to organise and plan annual events and awards. Co-ordinating and attending community and STEM events throughout Scotland, England, and Wales in partnership with others. Reporting on events and attendance to meet regulatory reporting requirements. Developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including business leaders, managers, educational institutions, training providers, and the Armed Forces. Managing the ordering, creation, and updating of digital and physical materials for promotional events. Benchmarking with Distribution Network Operators and Contractors to share ideas and best practice. What you’ll bring Proficiency in developing, documenting, and communicating event plans. Strong organisational, project management, and planning skills. Evidence of proactive networking and engagement with external organisations and events. Business acumen and analytical skills to support effective problem-solving. Excellent communication skills with the ability to positively influence at various levels. Ability to produce engaging and clear communications across multiple channels. High levels of self-motivation and enthusiasm. Strong multitasking and prioritisation abilities. Capability to meet challenging performance metrics and manage conflicting goals. Experience in working with, developing, and where appropriate, coaching and mentoring others. As a minimum, you will demonstrate Strong communication and coordination skills. Effective presentation and organisational abilities. A full UK driving licence. Flexibility to attend events across the UK throughout the year (e.g. London, Birmingham, and other locations). Experience in stakeholder engagement and proactive networking.
