Smiths has grown from a single owner-operated plant hire company to a multifaceted group with family values still firmly at the heart of each project undertaken. With depots in Avonmouth, Cardiff, Gloucester, Stonehouse and Tewkesbury we operate predominately across the South-West of England. We specialise in Construction, Waste Management, Plant Hire, Demolition and Transport operations.
We are looking for experienced 360 machine operators to join our site teams, any other machine tickets would be a distinct advantage.
Working generally within around 50-mile radius of Stonehouse (GL10 3AQ).

Responsibilities for the job role:
* Driving any plant/equipment as directed by the employer or third party
* Washing, greasing, and general maintenance of any plant/equipment at any time allocated to you by the employer
* Observe all health and safety requirements and instructions at the site
* Ensure the work is carried out within the deadlines, safely and efficiently, and to relay information accurately to the customer/Site Supervisor
* Wear the appropriate PPE
* To follow all instruction and direction from the customer or site supervisor
* Carry out best practice and safe working practices
* Report any near accident or potential of an accident
* Perform testing procedures to ensure that machines work optimally during the working process
