We have multiple opportunities for Multiskilled Engineers with a focus on Electrical expertise, to join our team at our Ashton site, on a 24/7 shift pattern. Our Engineers are focused on reactive engineering activities across multiple plants to maximise production OEE and plant availability.
What you will do
1. Provide reactive engineering support to production, resolving breakdowns, and assisting with resolution of priority engineering issues as the plants require
2. Work to company practices, procedures and rules to ensure health & safety, food safety and legal compliance are upheld at all times.
3. Support external contractors providing additional support for PM activities (such as OEM services or reactive specialist support).
4. Work on a wide variety of engineering assets.
5. Perform proactive/reactive maintenance tasks effectively and efficiently.
6. Report and escalate all issues identified during reactive breakdown or any proactive maintenance activities.
7. Identify opportunities to improve reliability of assets and engineering working processes.
8. Support identifying engineering and any engineering related root causes.
9. Ensure effective use of the CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) to log and review work carried out.
10. Provide training and support for the transfer of basic engineering to operator tasks.
Requirements
You will have demonstrable electrical competence through training and experience, an Engineering Qualification or Apprenticeship (ONC or NVQ equivalent qualification), strong IT skills to include use of Computer Maintenance Management Systems, excellent problem-solving skills, good time management skills, coupled with the ability to make timely decisions and be a team player.
Experience of working within a food manufacturing environment and PLC experience is preferred.
