The Role
You will be a hard services technical expert, ideally with a specialism in electrical or mechanical installations, and capable of understanding other building systems such as lifts, escalators, and data/communications. The Built Environment Maintenance Team manages and maintains over 20,000 assets across three international stations, three High Speed depots and other buildings. Strong commercial skills to manage contractors delivering this maintenance are critical.

Responsibilities (Essential)
* Educated to degree level (engineering, building services, workplace and facilities management) or equivalent
* Holds a relevant professional qualification (e.g., MRICS, MBIFM or similar)
* Strong understanding of building services including electrical, utilities and systems
* Sound technical knowledge of Landlord & Tenant Law
* Holder of relevant health & safety qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH General Certificate)
* Proven experience in facilities management across multiple buildings or sites
* Proven contract management skills
* Excellent communication skills
Desirable
* Knowledge of policies and standards relating to office accommodation
* Negotiation skills with contractors and service delivery partners
* Full driving licence
