Role: Science Teacher Age: Secondary Ofsted: Outstanding Area: Ilford, Essex Contract: Fulltime, Permanent Salary: Competitive, Dependent on experience Start: September 2024, sooner if possible Responsibilities: Deliver engaging, coherent and motivating lessons to students across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and potentially Key Stage 5. Develop and utilize comprehensive lesson plans and instructional materials that cater to varied learning needs and styles. Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely and effective feedback to students and parents. Implement and uphold classroom management strategies to create a structured learning environment. Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum materials and coordinate science programs. Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to staff meetings and school training sessions. Participate in extracurricular activities such as science clubs, school outings, and educational competitions. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK or equivalent teaching certification. Bachelor’s degree in Science or a closely related field. Proven experience in teaching Science at secondary level, with a strong record of student achievement. Familiarity with the current curriculum and examination requirements for Science. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, staff, and parents. Ability to inspire, motivate, and challenge students through innovative teaching practices.
