Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board
Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board has approximately 6000 births per year.
Maternity Services are provided over 3 sites, offering women and staff four birthing environments: home, freestanding birth centre, alongside birth centre, and obstetric labour ward.
The Prince Charles Site's level 2 environment was majorly refurbished in 2019. It provides care in our obstetric unit and an alongside midwifery-led unit, with an increased number of pools (now 3), a bereavement room, and an enhanced environment for women and staff.
At the Royal Glamorgan Hospital, a free-standing midwifery-led unit offers a tranquil, supportive environment for women and staff to birth away from home.
Princess of Wales Hospital in Bridgend is a Level 2 Maternity Unit, where low-risk women can labour and birth in the Daffodil Suite, which includes a birthing pool. Obstetric services support women requiring increased surveillance during labour.
The Worker will be responsible for assessing, planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating care programs for clients across all maternity service areas.
They will ensure the provision of high standards of care aligned with quality standards and the Trust's mission.
The Worker will practice clinical skills through experience and upon completing Midwifery Skills Competencies, and will act as a mentor for less experienced midwives and staff.
Welsh and/or English speakers are equally encouraged to apply.
