About the Role
Training to become a qualified accountant is a rewarding and challenging career that can open up a range of opportunities. Albert Goodman is looking to train and develop future partners and leaders, welcoming graduates of any degree, school leavers, and those seeking a career change.
Successful candidates will likely join one of three induction programmes held in March, July, or August and will work from one of Albert Goodman’s five South West offices in Taunton, Yeovil, Weymouth, Bristol, or Weston‑super‑Mare. You may select your preferred location during the application process.
Recruitment Process
Assessment events will take place throughout 2026, giving candidates a chance to showcase their skills, learn about life at AG, and meet our team.
Training & Development
Depending on your academic history and experience, you will complete a chosen training qualification—such as the AAT or ACA. We also offer specialist Tax qualifications: ATT and ACA/CTA. While studying, you will provide a professional service to clients and gain hands‑on experience needed to become a qualified accountant.

Qualifications
To achieve a qualification and deliver up‑to‑date advice, you must be competent at studying and passing exams. While academic or professional results are considered, we also evaluate experience, other qualifications and skills.
AAT / ATT: Ideally a minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English, and a minimum of 2 A Levels (or equivalent).
ACA / CTA: Ideally a minimum 2:2 in your degree or equivalent; subject of degree is not critical.
