SEN Teaching Assistant

Contract: Full-time
Salary: £13.75 - £14.50 per hour

About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs, helping them to thrive both academically and personally.
As an SEN TA, you will work closely with class teachers, support staff, and external professionals to provide tailored support to pupils with a range of additional needs—including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, social/emotional needs, and learning disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils with SEN
Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering personalised learning activities
Help create an inclusive, engaging and safe learning environment
Implement behaviour support strategies and individual education plans (IEPs)
Support pupils with personal care needs, where required
Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils, staff and parents
Monitor progress and contribute to assessment and review meetings
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
Passionate about supporting young people with additional needs
Patient, empathetic and resilient
Able to build strong rapport and communicate effectively
Confident in adapting learning strategies to suit individual needs
Organised, proactive and able to work collaboratively with the wider team
Experienced in an SEN role (desirable but not essential)
Open to training and professional development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
