The Opportunity

W&P Partners is proud to be partnering with a leading global investment firm in their search for a General Counsel. The firm backs high-growth technology businesses at the growth stage and offers an exceptional opportunity for a commercially minded, solutions-focused General Counsel to join the firm during a significant growth phase.


The Role

As General Counsel, you will report directly to the leadership team and serve as a key strategic advisor across all areas of the business. This is a broad and pivotal role, encompassing:

* Oversight of all legal and regulatory matters across the firm’s investment activities and internal operations.
* Advise on all legal aspects of venture capital and private equity transactions, including due diligence, deal structuring, and the negotiation of financings and exits across EMEA.
* Supporting fundraising activity, LP matters and fund formation in coordination with external counsel.
* Act as a trusted legal advisor to the investment team, supporting decision-making and ensuring compliance with corporate governance standards.
* Providing commercial legal advice to portfolio companies when needed.
* Managing risk, compliance, governance and policies across the platform.
* Building out and evolving the legal function as the firm scales.
