Role and responsibilities:
* Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize sourcing, supplier selection, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
* Evaluate and negotiate with suppliers to meet cost, quality, and delivery targets, while managing supplier relationships and performance.
* Collaborate with departments (production, finance, operations) to align procurement with business needs and streamline processes.
* Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and resolve supply issues to ensure smooth operations and minimize costs.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, Brexit-related customs paperwork, and stay updated on market trends and regulatory requirements.
* Require 1+ years of experience as a Buyer within engineering or construction functions.
* Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office packages.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the procurement team.
* Willingness to be flexible to suit business needs.
