Summary
We are seeking a skilled Workshop Service Technician to join our team in Newbury. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient operation of our services, contributing to our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. As a Workshop Service Technician, you will play a key role in delivering top-notch maintenance and repair services.
Responsibilities
* Interpret schematics and technical drawings to perform repairs.
* Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues.
* Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
* Conduct assembly of hydraulic systems as needed.
* Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
* Provide exceptional customer service during service interactions.
* Assist with heavy lifting and moving of equipment as required.
* Repair various equipment components using welding, drilling, multiple bespoke machinery when necessary.
* Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Workshop Service Technician or similar role.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics.
* Proficient in using hand tools and power tools.
* Familiarity with maintenance practices for hydraulic systems.
* Excellent customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely.
* Basic welding skills are preferred but not mandatory.
* Experience in hydraulic cylinder repair and manufacture
* Experience in milling and turning machines advantageous
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £24,420.00-£35,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
