First Achieve’s Engineering Division is proud to be working with a leading and forward-thinking geotechnical contractor, now seeking to add a skilled Plant Fitter to their growing team.
🔧 The Role
Based out of the Hamilton workshop, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and servicing a fleet of specialist plant machinery, including:
* Rotary and sonic drilling rigs
* Cable percussion rigs
* Tracked support plant
This is a hands-on, varied role that offers plenty of travel across Scotland — perfect for someone who enjoys field work, problem-solving, and working on diverse, complex machinery.
🚗 What You’ll Be Doing
* Routine maintenance and repairs to a range of drilling and plant equipment
* Diagnosing faults on hydraulic and electrical systems
* Ensuring all machinery operates safely and efficiently
* Supporting site operations across Scotland (occasional UK travel)
1. 🎯 What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience as a Plant Fitter / Plant Mechanic
* Strong knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems (drilling rig experience desirable)
* Full UK driving licence
* A proactive, adaptable, and hands-on approach
