Due to continued growth, We now have an opportunity for a Compliance Controller to join our team and support the Operations team, in this pivotal role, you'll be instrumental in managing compliance events for our rental vehicles and company assets.
Position Overview:
As Compliance Controller, you'll be tasked with ensuring all fleet assets meet and adhere to compliance requirements within specified timeframes and legislative guidelines. Your focus will be on minimizing asset downtime and maintaining expenditure control while upholding regulatory standards.
As the Compliance Controller you will be responsible for:
* Handle incoming calls from hire fleet customers, ensuring professional and efficient service.
* Communicate repair updates and compliance bookings to customers, minimising asset downtime.
* Monitor fleet compliance schedules within computerised maintenance systems, considering customer 'O' licence or legislative requirements.
* Send customers notifications one month in advance and reminders one week in advance for upcoming events.
* Follow the 'disclaimer process' for any overdue events.
* Capture all fleet compliance requirements in reporting systems, escalating overdue events to management.
* Coordinate annual MOT, LOLER, and Tank tests for the fleet, communicating bookings to customers or internal teams.
* Update maintenance system upon completion of annual events, ensuring receipt of relevant paperwork.
* Generate reports for all other fleet compliance events at least one month in advance.
* Ensure timely action and completion of reported defects.
* Plan and schedule compliance events, controlling expenditure to maintain tight resource control.
* Issue repair orders from the maintenance computer system to third-party repair agents within established rate agreements.
* Record all repair updates on the computerised maintenance system promptly and close off jobs with allocated response codes in real time.
* Identify damage to hire fleet equipment, liaise with customers regarding rechargeable items, obtain order numbers where necessary, and promptly raise and send recharge invoices.
* Identify warranty repairs and follow manufacturers' warranty processes throughout the repair process.
* Liaise with the Parts department to ensure availability of appropriate parts for efficient repairs.
To be successful Compliance Controller will hold:
* Previous experience working in a similar role, preferably from a fleet, Asset or rental industry however not essential
* Have a great level of communication skills and customer service with the ability to demonstrate the values and ethics of Dawsongroup
* Have a flexible and adaptable approach to your role and be able to work well on your own initiative with minimum supervision.
