About The Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Scaffolding Coordination Lead to contribute to the Net Zero Teesside project based at our site in Redcar-in-Cleveland on Teesside.
Responsibilities
* Demonstrates leadership and commitment to Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HSW). Actively encourages and leads the BBK and contractor teams to implement and comply with Project HSW requirements.
* Ensures all relevant HSW requirements are incorporated into the area of responsibility and that HSW hazards are eliminated or mitigated where practicable.
* Ensures that risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) are reviewed with regard to HSW requirements and satisfy site safe systems of work.
* Determines scope and prepares work packs detailing extent of scaffolding (location, requirements, estimate, quantities).
* Interfaces with planning engineers to plan, schedule, estimate, progress monitor and closeout scaffold-related activities.
* Ensures work within their area is executed in accordance with the contract and within time and budget.
* Acts as the principal contractor in the coordination of all scaffolding equipment onsite.
* Attends coordination meetings to ensure scopes are adequately planned and minimum hindrance to construction work.
* Ensures all scaffolding operations are planned and organised and that erected scaffolding is suitable for the proposed use.
* Ensures scaffolding equipment and accessories are subject to periodic thorough examination and keeps records of alterations/modifications.
* Assists in designs and pre-plans the scaffold including weight limitations, scaffold type, fall protection, tie-offs, and supports.
* Ensures final inspections are carried out prior to use and project documentation is maintained in line with company procedures.
* Monitors modifications and off-hiring/dismantling in a timely manner.
* Oversees subcontractors’ reporting, attendance and progress; provides instruction and support to achieve contractual arrangements.

* Deliver an integrated and cost-effective scaffolding service to complete work packages on time and within budget.
* Drive the execution of scaffold activities and contractor accountability, productivity, and issue resolution.
* Coordinate with area construction engineers to identify and achieve scaffold priorities.
* Support work pack development and constructability reviews.
* Carry out quality inspections and review actual costs vs estimates to ensure value for money.
* Influence scaffold contractors through mentoring, coaching, and training to meet safety and quality requirements.
* Communicate effectively at all levels with internal teams, clients, and sub-contractors.
