This isn't your ordinary Technical Author role. Are you passionate about making a difference in people's lives? Ideally you'll also have a penchant for photography and a willingness to learn new ways of working, incorporating your experience to date. What We Look For: If you: Have experience in Technical Writing, preferably in Medical or Consumer products. Are proficient in 2D CAD skills (SolidWorks preferred, training provided if necessary). Demonstrate competence in Graphics preparation, particularly with Illustrator & Publisher. Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Have strong team-working, planning, and organizational abilities. Can thrive under pressure and work independently. Beneficial Skills: It would be advantageous if you also have: 3D CAD skills (SolidWorks preferred). Experience with SolidWorks Composer. Role and Responsibilities: As a Technical Author, you will: Prepare User Manuals and Technical Data Sheets for new products. Update existing User Manuals and Technical Data Sheets. Create 2D CAD drawings and update databases. Design product branding elements. Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs) and assist in marketing material production. Photograph new products. Additional Duties (Depending on Skillset): You may also be involved in: Creating engineering drawings from existing CAD models.
