Dental Nurse opportunity - Kingston upon Thames area – Join Our Expanding Practice!
We are a thriving, mixed NHS and private dental practice that has recently expanded from six to eight surgeries. With a strong commitment to patient care and professional development, we are looking for a skilled and reliable Dental Nurse to join our team.
About the Role As a Dental Nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the practice and delivering high-quality patient care. You will work alongside a team of experienced clinicians, including general dentists, a specialist periodontist (three days per week), and in the future, an endodontist and orthodontist.
Key Responsibilities
Assisting dentists and specialists with a variety of treatments, including general dentistry, implants, Invisalign, and periodontics
Preparing and maintaining treatment rooms, instruments, and equipment
Ensuring strict compliance with cross-infection control and health and safety regulations
Supporting patients throughout their treatment, ensuring they feel comfortable and informed
Recording and updating patient records using SOE software (switching to Dentally in April)
Providing chairside assistance and ensuring smooth clinical workflows
Carrying out decontamination and sterilisation of instruments
Managing stock levels and ordering dental materials when necessary
Occasionally supporting the front desk with reception duties, if requiredWhat We Offer
Salary: £12.50 per hour for trainees, starting from £15 per hour for qualified nurses
Hours: Monday to Friday (07:45 – 17:00) with occasional Saturdays (9:00 – 13:00, once or twice per month)

A qualified Dental Nurse registered with the GDC (trainees will also be considered)
A reliable and proactive team player with a professional attitude
Someone with excellent communication skills and a strong command of the English language (both written and spoken)
Experience using Dentally software is desirable but not essential
Previous dental reception experience would be beneficial but is not requiredStart Date We are looking for the right candidate to start as soon as possible.
