Overview
Experienced Occupational Therapist – Home First Team at Dorset Council. This is a full-time position within the Home First Occupational Therapy Team, expanding in response to increasing demand for hospital discharge support, active recovery, and reablement packages.
The role involves working closely with partners across health and community services to build strong collaborative relationships that positively influence individual health and care outcomes. The OT team is a vital part of the Home First Social Care Team, operating across all areas of the county and maintaining links with all three area clusters to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to service delivery.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with health and community partners to support hospital discharges, active recovery, and reablement packages.
* Work with the Home First Occupational Therapy Team across all county areas and maintain links with the three area clusters for integrated service delivery.
* Contribute to a cohesive, multidisciplinary approach to service delivery and positive health outcomes for individuals.
Qualifications
* Degree in Occupational Therapy
* Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
* Ability to fulfil the travel requirements of the post

Salary, Benefits and Relocation
* Recruitment and retention scheme: up to £2,000 (pro-rata for part-time) after 24 months of employment, subject to eligibility.
* Relocation package: up to £8,000 (HMRC eligible elements) tax-free; we can assist with moving, depending on circumstances (buying/renting).
* Our package includes an initial advance of up to £2,500 on start and help with fees related to buying/selling (up to £6,500) or rent/mortgage support in the first two years.
