We are now seeking 4 passionate and skilled Specialist Assessment Social Workers to join our brand-new Specialist Assessment Service. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an innovative team, carrying out complex assessments and directly improving outcomes for Birmingham’s most vulnerable children. As a Specialist Assessment Social Worker, you will: Carry out high-quality, evidence-based assessments of children and families. Provide clear, analytical reports to support decision-making in children’s best interests. Work collaboratively with other professionals, including schools, health colleagues, police, and voluntary organisations. Develop meaningful relationships with children and young people, ensuring their voices are central to your work. Contribute to our trauma-informed, relationship-based practice model, ensuring positive and lasting outcomes. About You Be a qualified Social Worker. Hold a recognised social work qualification and be registered with Social Work England. Demonstrate resilience, strong time management, and excellent analytical skills. Have experience in assessment and care planning, with a passion for improving outcomes for children. Be able to work collaboratively, building strong relationships with colleagues and partner agencies. Bring curiosity, professionalism, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Why Join Us?
