Work Location
Full time (Hybrid). You will work a mix of office and remote days, with two days a week in the office and three from home.
What The Day Will Look Like
As a Systems Delivery Lead, no two days will be the same. You’ll lead the coordination and delivery of systems‑related work across the Pension Fund, working closely with stakeholders, suppliers and delivery teams to ensure priorities are translated into secure, effective and user‑focused solutions.
You’ll oversee the full delivery lifecycle of systems enhancements and changes, helping teams remove blockers, manage competing priorities and deliver high‑quality outcomes aligned to business needs. Working in a collaborative and fast‑paced environment, you’ll engage with senior leaders, technical specialists and operational teams to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
A key part of the role will involve shaping and improving delivery processes, embedding Agile and ITIL best practices and identifying opportunities to enhance services through automation and AI. You’ll also play an important role in strengthening governance, service design and transition activities to ensure services are sustainable, efficient and operationally ready.
Responsibilities
* Leading and developing a high‑performing Systems Delivery function
* Managing and prioritising incoming systems and service demand across the Pension Fund
* Overseeing the successful delivery of systems changes, enhancements and improvements
* Working with stakeholders, suppliers and technical teams to ensure effective collaboration and communication
* Driving innovation through automation, AI and continuous improvement initiatives
* Embedding Agile and ITIL best practices across delivery and service management activities
* Supporting service design, transition and operational readiness for new and updated services
* Monitoring delivery performance, managing risks and reporting on progress and outcomes
* Ensuring systems delivery aligns with governance, security and compliance requirements
* Coaching and mentoring delivery teams to support development and performance
About You
We’re looking for a confident and collaborative leader with significant experience in IT delivery, service management or systems operations within a complex organisation.
You’ll have strong experience of managing delivery teams, prioritising demand and working with a wide range of stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes. You’ll be comfortable operating in both strategic and operational environments and able to translate business needs into clear delivery plans.
You’ll bring a strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and IT service management principles such as ITIL, alongside excellent communication, influencing and problem‑solving skills. Experience of driving innovation, automation or AI‑led improvements would be highly beneficial.

* A degree or equivalent experience in IT, Information Systems, Business Management or a related field
* Experience leading multi‑disciplinary delivery teams and managing complex delivery pipelines
* Strong stakeholder management and relationship‑building skills
* The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment
* A collaborative, proactive and solutions‑focused approach
* A commitment to continuous improvement, customer‑focused services and team development
* Professional certifications such as ITIL, Agile, PRINCE2 or similar (desirable)
