Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to help deliver our regulatory responsibilities as the Enforcement Authority for the Reservoirs Act 1975 in England. The Reservoirs Act helps to ensure the safe operation and management of dams.
Responsibilities
* Monitor compliance with the Reservoirs Act 1975 for the 2140 reservoirs in England.
* Manage day-to-day correspondence and record incoming documentation on our database to ensure records are accurate and up to date.
* Encourage compliance when reports or certificates are not received as expected.
* Be the first point of contact for reservoir owners and panel engineers; provide information and advice on the requirements of the Act.
* Travel as required; some travel and overnight stays across the country.
About the team and role
Part-time job share (22.2 hours per week); part of the Environmental Assessment and Reservoir Regulation department in the Flood & Coastal Risk Management Directorate. The Reservoir Regulation team comprises 25+ staff across the country.
