A rapidly growing, independently owned IFA firm in Horsham is recruiting an experienced Financial Paraplanner to join their busy, close-knit team. This is a newly created position driven by business growth the firm currently outsources a significant volume of paraplanning reports and needs dedicated in-house resource to manage that workload. With five financial advisers generating consistent client activity, a pipeline of practice acquisitions, and a director who actively invests in the team's professional development, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced paraplanner who is ready to hit the ground running and grow with an ambitious firm.

THE ROLE

You will work directly with a team of five advisers, taking ownership of the paraplanning process end-to-end. Your core responsibilities will include:

* Preparing detailed suitability letters and reports for pension transfers, investments, trusts, and bonds
* Collaborating with financial advisers to gather and analyse client data income, assets, liabilities, insurance, and investment holdings
* Creating retirement projections, cash flow models, and fund analyses using planning tools such as Voyant
* Conducting product and fund research to support investment and pension recommendations
* Developing financial plans aligned to the client's risk profile and long-term objectives
* Ensuring all recommendations comply with FCA regulatory standards and internal compliance requirements
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records within the CRM and planning systems (currently Xplan, transitioning to 360/Lifecycle)
* Providing general support to advisers where required, including pre- and post-meeting preparation

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

This is not an entry-level position. The firm needs someone who can step in, understand the advice journey confidently, and produce high-quality, compliant reports without significant hand-holding. That said, personality and cultural fit are equally important this is a close-knit office and they hire for attitude as much as technical ability.

Essential:

* Paraplanning experience: solid, demonstrable experience as a paraplanner within an IFA, wealth management, or financial planning environment you know the advice process inside out
* Suitability report writing: confident and accurate in drafting suitability reports across pensions (including transfers), investments, trusts, and protection products
* Financial analysis skills: strong analytical capability comfortable working with client financial data, cashflow models, and retirement projections
* Product and fund knowledge: broad knowledge of financial services products including pensions, ISAs, bonds, and investment platforms
* FCA compliance awareness: thorough understanding of regulatory requirements and how they apply to the advice and report-writing process
* IT and software proficiency: competent in Microsoft Office; prior experience with Voyant, Xplan, or similar paraplanning/cashflow tools is highly advantageous

Desirable:

* Diploma xsngvjr in Financial Planning (DipPFS), CII Advanced Diploma, or working towards equivalent qualifications
* Experience with Quilter network or similar network-based advisory structures
* Exposure to Xplan CRM; awareness of 360/Lifecycle platform an advantage
* Knowledge of trust structures, LPA, or estate planning
* Experience working in a high-volume paraplanning environment

WHAT'S ON OFFER

* Salary of £50,000 per annum
* 23 days annual leave, rising by one day per year to a maximum of 25 days, plus bank holidays
