As our Purchasing Operative, you'll be the maestro of material flow, ensuring a cost-efficient and precisely timed supply of everything we need to bring these incredible trains to life. What you'll be doing: * You will form part of a team responsible for successfully processing purchase requests and then ensuring the on-time arrival of material on site * You will engage with various other parties (both internal and external) in the supply chain to improve the flow of material, communicating or raising concerns as appropriate * You will have a keen eye for detail, be comfortable analysing data and be able to relay and receive information from a variety of sources What we're looking for: * A strong working knowledge of the material purchasing process, from purchase order to product delivery * Data analysis and I.T. skills, with SAP / Excel knowledge advantageous * Excellent communication and people skills, with an eye for detail The following skills will be beneficial but not essential: * Purchasing material in the Rail industry * Monitoring supplier performance using appropriate tools and techniques * International supply chains If you're ready to take on a challenging and rewarding role with a company that values its employees, apply now!
