Principal Process Engineer – Waste Water
Application for the Principal Process Engineer – Waste Water role at Jacobs.
Responsibilities
* Lead cross‑functional innovative engineering and technology initiatives and pilot systems including membrane bioreactors and anaerobic digestion.
* Develop process flow diagrams and layout plans for wastewater treatment and sewer networks.
* Select appropriate treatment technologies (e.g., MBR, SBR) and implement corrective actions to restore optimal performance.
* Project manage the delivery of wastewater infrastructure throughout a project lifecycle.
* Develop and implement process optimisation solutions.
* Collaborate with civil, mechanical and electrical engineers on plant new builds and upgrades.
* Drive the design, build and asset management of high‑value CAPEX programmes for wastewater treatment systems, pumping stations and sewer networks.
Qualifications
* Experience in water and/or wastewater networks or treatment works.
* Knowledge of mass water conveyance, heat transfer, bio‑resources and waste‑to‑energy technologies.
* Project engineering/management experience.
* Master’s degree or equivalent in Chemical or Environmental Engineering.
* Chartered status (CEng) or equivalent recognised professional institute membership.
