The Role As a Junior MCR Operator, youll support the smooth and reliable delivery of DAZNs live sports content. Youll learn how to monitor incoming feeds, route live signals, troubleshoot basic issues, and operate fundamental MCR systems. Working closely with experienced operators, youll be guided through the processes and tools that keep a global broadcast platform running. This role follows the rhythm of the worldwide sports calendar, meaning youll work a mix of days, nights, weekends, and public holidays experiencing the real excitement of live broadcasting. Youll gain valuable skills in signal monitoring, broadcast workflows, and incident handling, all while contributing to the delivery of top-tier sports coverage. What You'll Be Doing: Assist with routing and switching live sports feeds using internal tools.
Monitor incoming and outgoing signals, flagging any irregularities.
Support the setup and basic checks for live events.
Provide first-line assistance for minor operational issues under supervision.
Learn to use and understand core broadcast equipment (IRDs, routers, monitoring tools).
Help maintain clear communication with senior operators and technical teams.
Follow established workflows and contribute to incident logging.
What You'll Bring: A strong interest in broadcast operations and live sports.
Willingness to work shifts, including nights and weekends.
Basic understanding of technical or broadcast concepts (IP, signals, or networks beneficial).
