Responsibilities
* Join an established team in Midlothian and provide outreach into GP practices with Mental Health assessments and interventions for individuals with mild to moderate mental health problems.
* Use excellent assessment skills, demonstrate flexibility, and work effectively as part of a team while solving problems.
* Possibly contribute as a Non Medical Prescriber (advantageous but not essential).
* Support the integration agenda and help develop and promote integrated service delivery within Midlothian.
* Travel within the service delivery area to fulfil post requirements.
* Be part of the wider mental health services with strong assessment capabilities.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Experienced nurse with strong assessment skills (Band 6 level).
* Ability and willingness to travel throughout the service area.
* Non Medical Prescribing qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
* Maintains professional registration and adheres to relevant professional standards.

Travel within the area of service delivery is essential for this post.
PVG Scheme membership/record is required for the post holder. If not currently a PVG member for the required regulatory group (child and/or adult), an application to Disclosure Scotland will be needed before starting.
As of 1 April 2025, the statutory changes may affect the level of criminal records checks for this post (subject to verification by the Hiring Manager or Recruitment Team). If the post is assessed as a regulated role, appointment will be subject to PVG checks. Details will be confirmed by the Hiring Manager or Recruitment Team.
Part-time salary is pro-rated accordingly.
