Your Responsibilities...
Our talented care colleagues make an incredible difference in our service users’ lives, providing the highest standard of person-centred care and support, to help maintain their independence. Joining our staffing team, you will have the opportunity to provide exceptional care in a variety of locations; you may support individuals residential or nursing homes, in the community such as home care, or clinical settings such as hospitals. You will have the chance to be trained in working with service users of differing needs, from day-to-day activities to more complex interventions.
* To support each of the service users to remain as active and independent as possible within the constraints of their condition.
* Encourage and support each service user to do as much as possible for themselves in all aspects of daily living, which will include washing, dressing and continence.
* Use initiative and imagination in helping service users succeed at familiar tasks. Demonstrate skill and imagination in helping service users’ deal with everyday difficulties arising from their memory problems or physical health.
* Respect the service users’ rights of choice, privacy, and dignity and be sensitive to each person’s needs. Demonstrate an ability to build and maintain relationships with people and their families through good communication skills.
* Take responsibility by following tailored care plans, such as mobility, communication, social interaction, nutrition and physical care.
* Support and assist service users who may be living with complex needs requiring clinical interventions, and use of specialist equipment
* Assist service users with their mobility having received training in the use appropriate equipment and will be responsible for the safe and proper use of such equipment.
* Work independently and show initiative at maintaining a stimulating and safe environment for each service user.
* Assist with serving meals and drinks and feed service users’ unable to feed themselves.
* Respect rights for privacy and demonstrate high professional standards of propriety in their day-to-day work.
