We are currently recruiting a Maintenance Operative to ensure first-class maintenance services are delivered at the 2 Hoddesdon sites, adhering to legislative requirements and meeting KPI & SLA targets across the distribution centre.
* Ensure all plant, systems, infrastructure, and equipment run optimally with minimal downtime
* Act as the first point of contact for all site maintenance issues
* Diagnose faults
* Undertake planned maintenance
* Respond to major equipment breakdowns
* Work with the Facilities Team to manage budgets
* Ensure the distribution centre meets legal compliance for maintenance
* Manage Facilities' 3rd party contractors effectively
* Attend regular meetings to review, plan, and prioritize activities
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with flexibility as needed. Weekend work and public holidays may be required.
* TEC/City & Guilds or time-served apprenticeship in electrical/mechanical environment or building services
* Ability to prioritize workload
* Practical skills and good diagnostic/problem-solving skills
* Ability to perform heavy lifting, ladder work, working at heights, and use of power tools
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Health and Safety knowledge
* Experience in a logistics environment with multi-temperature storage
* Good understanding of Microsoft software
