Are you an experienced Exams Officer / Exams Manager looking for your next step in a supportive secondary school environment? We are seeking a highly organised and resilient individual to take on a dual role managing school examinations and providing administrative support to student admissions.
This to work for a lovely secondary school in the heart of East London with mulitple convenient transport links, it is a smaller than usual school with a very supportive and friendly team culture.
This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate with strong exams administration or Attendance & Admissions experience who is keen to broaden their skills in admissions.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the administration of internal and external examinations, ensuring compliance
*
Handle post-results work: distributing results to students, processing enquiries and appeals, liaising with awarding bodies for re-marks or certificate issues.
*
Maintain accurate records and data for examinations: entries, withdrawals, amendments to student entries, attendance at exams, invigilator hours, etc.
*
Manage exam timetables, entries, invigilation schedules, and exam day arrangements
*
Process and maintain accurate records of student admissions and enrolments
*
Organise and maintain secure storage and dispatch of examination papers and scripts, including receiving them from exam boards, distributing them for exams, collecting completed scripts, packaging securely, and sending them back for marking.

Liaise with parents, students, and staff, providing excellent customer service and communication
*
Work effectively to manage time and priorities during peak periods (exams seasons and admissions windows)
*
Maintain high levels of accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail in all tasks
The Ideal Candidate:
*
Previous experience as an Exams Officer / Exams Manager within a school or college (essential)
*
Strong administrative background with the ability to learn and adapt to admissions processes
*
Highly organised, methodical, and confident in managing multiple deadlines
*
Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office and school MIS systems (SIMS/Arbor desirable)
*
A proven track record of excellent attendance and reliability in previous roles
*
Resilient, proactive, and able to remain calm under pressure
