Purpose of the role: Quality support to Off- site solutions fabrication facility with high integrity coded welding knowledge What you'll be doing As a Responsible Welding Engineer, you'll have the following accountabilities; Review contractual manufacturing and technical data provided by client, company engineering department and supply chain. Reading and interpreting Welding Specifications Ensure that all necessary information to carry out welding operations is generated and available prior of commencement of work. Welding techniques, procedures, and application of welding equipment Welding components together in accordance with strict tolerances and quality standards Review of product standards Manage Technical Queries, Production Permits, Concessions and NCRs Review of Sub-contractors specifications Support the business during client & 3rd party audits ensuring compliance with BS EN ISO 3834-2 & BSEN 1090-2 Who we're looking for You will have the following: CSWIP 3.1 or 3.2 Welding Inspector HNC Fabrication & Welding Manufacturing Specification and Manufacturing Production Must have a valid CCNSG. BS EN, ASME Standards Evidence of Competency as a tradesman (City & Guilds/NVQ/ACE) Radiography Experience Have experience in welding using MMA, TIG and MIG Can interpret weld specifications and engineering drawing.
