Permanent Support Worker – Heysham (LA3) Hours: 36 hours per week (3 × 12 hour shifts)
Pay: £14.00 per hour / £26,208 per annum
Contract: Permanent
Shift Pattern: Rota basis including weekends & bank holidays
Driving Licence: Essential

Overview We are recruiting for a Permanent Support Worker to join a brand-new, bespoke support team for an individual who will soon be moving into their own home in the Heysham (LA3) area.
This role offers a structured introduction, beginning with paid training and shadow shifts in LA2, before transitioning to the new home in LA3.

You will work as part of a small, well-matched team delivering person?centred support based on communication needs, preferences, routines, and long-term goals.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting daily routines at home and in the community
Taking part in walking, swimming, horse riding, shopping and other activities
Providing personal care sensitively and professionally
Promoting independence (budgeting, self?care, decision-making)
Supporting communication, including use of an iPad
Managing behaviours of concern where necessary
Ensuring safety, wellbeing and advocacy at all timesEssential Requirements
Full UK driving licence
Experience supporting people with autism and/or learning disabilities
Comfortable providing personal care
Physically able to walk long distances in various weather conditions
No allergies to horses
Non-smoker (essential)
Excellent communication and listening skills
Patient, resilient, reliable, organised
