You will play a vital role in helping young people feel safe, understood, and supported in their daily lives.The RoleAs a Mental Health Care Assistant, you will:Provide consistent emotional support and reassurance to children experiencing anxiety, distress, or behavioural challenges.Support children with autism and ADHD to manage routines, transitions, and sensory sensitivities.Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, mealtimes, hygiene, and maintaining a structured routine.Implement behaviour support plans and positive behaviour strategies in line with care plans.Safely manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours using PMVA techniques where necessary.Maintain accurate, clear, and timely records of care provided and incidents.To be successful, youll need:At least 1 year of mental healthcare assistant experience in the UKEnhanced DBSA valid PMVA certificate (or willing to obtain this)Experience with:Mental Health support for children and adolescentsChallenging behaviourMedication administrationSafeguarding Level 2 or 3A DBS registered on the Update ServiceValid Manual Handling & Basic Life Support trainingWhy Join MCS Healthcare?At MCS Healthcare, we dont just talk about quality carewe live it.
