About the Role
Our client is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to join their Retail Development team. You'll design and build scalable Java microservices, mentor engineers, and help shape the future of retail systems kiosks. This is a hands-on role focused on technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design and develop Java microservices using Spring Framework
2. Architect scalable, fault-tolerant systems
3. Improve code quality, reduce technical debt, and enhance CI/CD pipelines
4. Mentor developers and foster a culture of growth
5. Collaborate across teams to deliver innovative retail solutions
6. Participate in production support and on-call rotation
What You'll Bring
7. Strong experience in Java development and Spring Framework
8. Expertise in microservices architecture
9. Experience with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
10. Proficiency with AWS, Docker, SQL/NoSQL, and automated testing
11. Agile delivery mindset and DevOps experience
12. Ability to mentor and influence technical decisions
