Duties of the MET Technician
* Safely dismantle and reassemble vehicles following repair estimates and manufacturer guidelines
* Refit and reconnect electrical, mechanical, and trim components with precision
* Support inspection processes by identifying additional damage or parts needs during repairs
* Ensure all repairs meet high technical and cosmetic standards
* Check parts availability, estimate matching, and handle unused components appropriately
* Conduct quality assurance checks and safety tests to ensure vehicle integrity
* Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment adhering to health and safety standards
* Identify and report discrepancies or additional repair requirements
* Support the workshop team to achieve efficiency in workflow and meet deadlines
* Follow health and safety policies, use PPE correctly, and uphold safe working practices at all times
Requirements of the MET Technician
* Minimum of three years' experience in vehicle dismantling and reassembly within an accident repair environment
* Good understanding of mechanical, electrical, and trim components
* Ability to interpret repair methods, estimates, and technical instructions
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality standards
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Awareness of health and safety responsibilities in the workshop
* IMI accreditation in MET is highly desirable
* Experience working in bodyshops or accident repair centres is advantageous
* Familiarity with modern vehicle systems and manufacturer repair procedures is preferred
