Overview
Health for All Nurse - Specialist Children’s Services role at NHS Scotland.
This is a full-time (37 hours) permanent post worked 08:30 – 16:30.
Responsibilities
* Carry out in-depth holistic initial and review health assessments for children and young people who are care experienced, including unaccompanied asylum-seeking individuals.
* Implement and evaluate care plans for children and young people with physical health, mental health and social care needs.
* Work across the Renfrewshire area in community and clinic settings, linking with families and carers, local Children’s Houses, social work departments, educational establishments, CAMHS and other health colleagues.
* Be an independent autonomous practitioner who is adult or paediatric nurse trained with relevant experience and demonstrated understanding of the health needs of the care experienced population.
* Demonstrate continuous professional development in child protection; maintain excellent communication skills as part of a specialist team providing a high-quality service to care experienced children, young people and their families.
* Hold a driving licence and be NMC registered.
Qualifications
* NMC registration and qualification in adult or paediatric nursing.
* Experience and understanding of health needs of the care experienced population; CPD in child protection.
* Driving licence.
