Sales Manager Basic Salary circa £55-60,000 + per annum + Bonus + Car allowance + excellent benefits. Global Manufacturer in South Wales. Reporting to: Europe Sales Director. This is a Sales and Account Management role.

General Purpose of Role
Managing allocated customer accounts with customer satisfaction and P&L responsibility. Identify and develop business opportunities, meet current customer requirements, and deliver high-quality service. Prospect for new customers aligned with company strategy. Oversee and manage account managers' performance, set targets, and monitor progress.
Main Responsibilities
1. Account Management
o Be the first point of contact for allocated customers; maintain and develop relationships.
o Visit customers regularly and prospect for additional business.
o Manage P&L and margin development.
o Forecast demand and assist quality in commercial and contractual analysis.
o Support customer service, invoicing, and purchasing departments in resolving issues.
o Represent the voice of the customer within the company.
2. Sales Management and Business Development
o Develop and implement sales strategies with the Sales Director.
o Focus on current and new market opportunities.
o Develop monthly visit plans with account managers.
o Attend industry events to identify new opportunities.
o Manage RFQ responses, review documentation, and ensure timely quotations.
o Ensure documentation compliance and smooth handover of new customers.
3. People Management
o Work on account management plans with account managers.
o Monitor performance against KPIs set by the Sales Director.
Person Specification
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering, or related discipline; technical knowledge advantageous.
Experience: At least 5 years in sales of technical or industrial products, preferably within manufacturing, automotive, or aerospace sectors.
Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, interpersonal skills, customer service understanding, self-motivation, and ability to set challenging targets.

Additional Requirements
