Pay rate: £33.30 per hour
We are looking for experienced and passionate Qualified Social Workers to join a dedicated Safeguarding Team. As part of this team, you will assess and work with children and families, intervening where children need support to provide help at an earlier stage. Your responsibilities include carrying out Section 47 Enquiries, progressing cases to Initial Safeguarding Conference, and working with children in need while planning for permanence from day one. You will complete assessment work directly with children and families, partnering with agencies including the police and health to ensure the best outcomes with sustainable positive change. The service maintains a strong link with our Integrated Prevention and Earliest Help colleagues to promote community support for children and families once social care involvement is no longer necessary. Throughout your work, you will uphold and champion best practices.
Working in accordance with social care legislation and local government requirements, you will support the delivery of person-centered, safe, and effective social care services. Using your professional knowledge and experience, you will make assessments and decisions about appropriate interventions. Applying your significant Social Work experience and excellent communication skills, you will establish and maintain relationships with service users and agencies to meet identified needs.

Ideal candidate will be:
* Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
* Experienced in working with children and families, including vulnerable groups.
* Creative, flexible, and forward-thinking in approach.
* Knowledgeable of Child Protection legislation and issues.
* Constantly seeking continuous improvement for better outcomes.
* Skilled in mediation and negotiation on behalf of service users.
* Excellent at building relationships with children and families to engage them in assessments and plans.
* Committed to providing high-quality services.
* Experienced in working within multidisciplinary, interagency teams.
* 4+ years qualified.

* Manage an agreed caseload.
* Employ specialist communication skills for optimum outcomes.
* Develop individual care plans respecting diversity and promoting dignity and empowerment.
* Support and advise unqualified staff and students for their development.
