Lead Civil/Structural Engineer Long-term contract
Glasgow – 3 days office / 2 days remot e
Hours: 40 hours per week
Security Check (SC) Clearance required - Must be sole British
The Lead Civil/Structural Engineer will be part of the team delivering a variety of civil and structural engineering projects.
Review and approve project drawings and technical documentation from supply chain.
Identify project functional requirements and stakeholder needs.
Attend design reviews, project meetings, hazard identification workshops, and stakeholder meetings.
Liaise and consult with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Create and review engineering documentation.
Assess and approve contractors’ work instructions, method statements, and risk assessments.
Provide technical supervision during construction and deconstruction to ensure compliance with design intent.
Specify and supervise commissioning and/or decommissioning activities.
Comply with (EHSQ) policies and support continuous improvement.
Experience in civil/structural engineering on complex projects.
Design assessment of civil/structural facilities and equipment to withstand hazards.
Developing design assurance for complex projects.
Theoretical and practical experience across all lifecycle stages of civil and structural projects, ideally including industrial and/or maritime sectors.
Stakeholder engagement experience throughout engineering lifecycle.
Experience providing civil/structural input on multi-discipline projects.
Qualifications & Training
Security Check (SC) Clearance.
Accredited degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (or equivalent qualification and experience).
